The Olds & District Kiwanis Music Festival is pleased to host the 2024 Music Festival. The festival is scheduled from Monday, March 18 through Tuesday, March 26.
There will be 2 Concerts in 2024

Feature Class
The feature class for 2024 is a Jug Band class. This class will feature a combination of unusual instruments such as jugs, saws, spoons, water glasses, harmonicas, etc. This is the time to get your friends together and create something unusual. The feature class will be on Tuesday, March 19 at 7:00 pm at the TransCanada Theatre. For more information check out the 2024 Local Festival Addenda.

Mission of the Festival
The Olds & District Kiwanis Music Festival Society is dedicated to promoting the appreciation of Music and Speech Arts by organizing and operating an annual Festival of the Performing Arts which encourages participation by all amateur performers in the province of Alberta, and which provides an opportunity for students to perform in a non-competitive environment, leading toward further personal growth and excellence.
Philosophy of the Festival
The Olds & District Kiwanis Music Festival Society believes that the most important aspect of the Festival is the learning derived from the entrant's performance and observation at the Festival sessions as well as from the understanding and new ideas gained from the Adjudicator's remarks.
Awards are not meant to be competitive goals, but are the recognition of excellence and encouragement for the continuation of studies in Music and Speech Arts.

Musical Theatre Camp
In 2017, The Musical Theatre Adjudicator was so inspiring that it motivated our Festival Board to host a Musical Theatre Camp. Of course we invited the adjudicator at that time to come and share her talents with us. We are so happy to be able to continue this camp for the future actors in our community.
